Karachi Corps Commander Babar Iftikhar held a special meeting in Badin late Monday.
DG Rangers Sindh, GOC Hyderabad, and officials concerned were present in the meeting.
The Pakistan Army troops have been deployed to deal with Cyclone Biparjoy in the coastal areas of Sindh at the request of the Sindh government.
Reportedly, the cyclone gained intensity while the authorities have also prompted the alarm by banning fishermen and picnickers.
The officials concerned gave a briefing to the Corps Commander. He expressed satisfaction with the preparations of the authorities to cope with the challenges.
On the direction of the Karachi Corps Commander, all resources will be used to deal with the possible threat.
So far, the Pakistan Army troops have reached various places for rescue and the Karachi Corps Commander reiterated the armed forces’ resolve to stand by the people in their hour of need. The people will not be left alone, he added.
