A strong earthquake jolted many cities in Pakistan including Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The quake was measured 5.2 on Richter scale
The tremors were also felt in Sheikhupura, Shakkargarh, Wazirabad, Jhelum, Kharian, Hafizabad, Swat, Abbottabad, Haripur and many Azad Kashmir cities including Neelum Valley and Bagh. Many areas of Gilgit Baltistan were also hit by the earthquake.
The earthquake’s epicenter was near Gandoh Bhalessa in Indian-occupied Kashmir and its depth was 18kms.
The quake struck at 1:03pm according to Pakistan time.
Indian news outlets reported that tremors were felt in New Delhi and other cities.
