England’s Keighley Cricket Club's ranks have been significantly boosted with the major signing of Muhammad-ul-Haq as their overseas player for the 2020 season.
He is the son of Pakistan's former international test and one-day captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and has already amassed an impressive CV considering he is still only 20.
In his home country, Muhammad-ul-Haq competed at Under-19 regional and provincial cricket as well as grade two cricket for Ghani Cricket Club.
These accomplishments were eclipsed, however, with selection for the Pakistan international U19 squad.
Furthermore, he is now in the MCCU squad for Leeds/Bradford and will be expected to play against Yorkshire and Lancashire in their pre-season warm-up matches.
The Leeds University student is a left-handed opening batsman as well as a useful left-arm spinner and will add further talent to the burgeoning Keighley squad, which now has a much better balance of youth and experience.
He has already made a big impression with his new teammates in the winter nets training and cannot wait for the start of the season.
He is looking forward to helping Keighley push on to new heights from their solid eighth place last season in the Championship Division of the All Rounder Bradford Premier League.
