Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Pervaiz Rashid said on Saturday that the purpose of seeking cancellation of party Vice-President Maryam Nawaz’s bail was to prevent the long march from turning into a flood of people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a tweet, he said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had become a tool in the hands of Prime Minister Imran Khan who was using it to take revenge on his political opponents.

In a reference to Maryam’s visit to NAB’s Lahore office along with her party leaders and supporters a few months back, Pervaiz said she had gone there despite assassination attempt on her life, and she was ready to go there again.

Earlier on Saturday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC), seeking cancellation of the bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz.

In the petition submitted to the LHC by the NAB prosecutor general, it has been stated that the PML-N vice-president, despite being on bail, is not cooperating with the Bureau teams which wanted to question her in connection with Chaudhry Sugar Mills’ and other references, and in view of this fact, her bail be cancelled.
