Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui welcomed the decision of the UK High Court regarding the party’s trust property in London, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
It is pertinent that MQM founder Altaf Hussain lost £10 million approximate worth of London properties case to the MQM-P leaders after a legal battle at the UK High Court.
Siddiqui said they are grateful to God for giving them the opportunity to trust the people's property with the martyrs. “We will hand over the trust to its rightful owners,” he vowed.
MQM Pakistan convener said the property will be used to teach skills to women. “It has been universally acknowledged that MQM Pakistan is a truly representative political party of the people of Pakistan and there is no other faction of it. Even, UK High Court has ruled that that the MQM-P is the real MQM and its members are the true beneficiaries of the trusts that control London's properties which are currently under the control of Altaf Hussain, he revealed.
“We all decided together that a part of the property will be given to Imran Farooq's widow and children,” he said, adding that now we have a hospital, university, and school too. “We will use public money in health and education sectors,” he concluded.
MQM Pakistan’s central leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said that MQM Pakistan is the genuine MQM. “There are six properties in the name of MQM trust in London.” “These properties will be spent on education and the health of the people. Dr. Farooq Sattar said many MQM properties are owned by various government agencies and will also take steps to restore them.
