The PML-N top-notch leaders including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are said to have not finished with the consultation process with the party supremo Nawaz Sharif in London on the current political situation in Pakistan and have decided to prolong their stay a bit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources informed on Friday that the PML-N members of the federal cabinet who are at present on London yatra have decided to extend their stay for another 30 hours.
Earlier, it was decided that all other PML-N members would come back today while Shehbaz Sharif would stay in London for another day to discuss matters with his elder brother.
However, sources said that the visiting PML-N leaders would have another round of consultation with Nawaz Sharif today.
The PML-N leaders including Ahsan Iqbal, Maryam Aurangzeb, Rana Sanaullah, Ata Tarar, and Abid Sher Ali addressed a press conference after the party’s kitchen cabinet meeting in London on Thursday.
They told the media that it was decided in the consultation meeting to improve the economy and Mian Sahib's return to Pakistan.
They informed that Mian Nawaz Sharif was consulted on different issues and the decision of the next general elections would not be takeb by the PML-N alone. They said that allies would be consulted for the elections.
On the overseas Pakistanis’ right to vote, they said they were working on it. They said the violators of the constitution of Pakistan would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
They said Imran Khan wanted to gather people in Islamabad for creating chaos but the government would not allow anyone to spread anarchy in the country.
However, the PML-N leaders remained tight-lipped about the major decisions taken at a high-level meeting with Nawaz Sharif on Thursday, though Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah later welcomed the military’s decision to stay out of politics.
