Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has visited the damaged house of Lahore Corps Commander, also known as Jinnah House, which was vandalized by violent protesters after PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The prime minister, accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, visited the Jinnah House on Saturday and inspected the damaged parts of the residence.

Meanwhile, the prime minister along with the chief minister also inquired after the injured security personnel including DIG Ali Nasir Rizvi at the Services Hospital.

More miscreants who attacked Jinnah House identified

The Lahore police on Saturday registered cases under terrorism charges after identifying several more miscreants involved in the torching, ransacking and stealing incidents at Jinnah House.

The law enforcers are busy in identifying the ‘elements’ who ransacked, looted and torched public places and military installations following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chief Imran Khan by the paramilitary forces inside the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday.

The worst kind of violent protests broke out after the PTI chief’s arrest. 

In Lahore, some rioters wielding sticks, chanting slogans and carrying PTI flags entered the residence of Lahore Corps Commander also named Jinnah House and set it on fire. The violent protesters also took away valuables from the house.

The city police have registered cases against the miscreants under terror charges. 

According to the FIR, the violent PTI workers were equipped with firearms, clubs, stones and petrol bombs. 

Sources said that law personnel are also arresting those rioters who damaged the public property in different areas across the country.

CM Naqvi decries statements against Army 

Taking to his Twitter handle on Saturday, interim Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi wrote: “Anyone giving statements against Pakistan Army and its Generals, is an Enemy Of the state. We shall not surrender to such anti-state propaganda.

“Pakistan Army Zindabad

Pakistan Paindabad”.
