Sanjeeda Shaikh revealed that she missed out on good roles because she was 'too pretty'.
During a candid conversation on News18 Showsha about her character ‘Waheeda’ in Heeramandi, Sanjeeda admitted to being stereotyped as “too pretty”. When the host inquired if the actress had ever felt insecure about beauty or vanity, she revealed that there were moments when she would feel insecure about her beauty as she would miss out on roles for being pretty.
In her words:
“I did feel insecure about being pretty when I did not get the role. There were times when they would say that you are ‘too pretty’, so you won’t be getting this part.”
A user shared this particular part of the interview on Reddit.
Soon, other Redittors started expressing their thoughts on Sanjeeda’s revelations.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sanjeeda Shaikh is a prominent name in Indian showbiz.
While she started her career in acting with television soap operas, she later ventured into films, with her first major role being in the 2016 film, Taish, co-starring Harshvarddhan Rane.
The actress, who has been in the industry for more than 20 years, was most recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
On the personal front, the actress was married to actor, Aamir Ali but the duo got divorced in 2021.
They are blessed with an adorable daughter.
