Some unknown armed persons kidnapped six coalminers from district Bolan in Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to police, the labourers working in three lease coalmines in Machh were going to their homes when some unidentified armed men intercepted and kidnapped them at 9:30pm on Saturday.
The companions of the coalminers informed the police about their snatching.
Police said that they visited the coalmines where the labourers were working. They said that a CTD team was arriving from Jafarabd which would help them find the kidnapped miners.
They said that four of the abducted colliers belonged to Shangla, and one each from Machh and Qila Abdullah.
The kidnapped miners are identified as: Sartaj s/o Rozimand, Rozimand s/o Asif, Barkat s/o Abdul Hakeem, Faram Uddin s/o Bakhti Gul, Aman Ullah s/o Qadar Zehr, and Jamal Khan.
The security forces reached the venue and cordoned off the area.
Coalminer crushed to death in Harnai
In another incident, a coalminer was crushed to death when a mud hillock fell on him in district Harnai in Balochistan.
The incident occurred in Talib Lease Coalmine Area.
Rescuers retrieved the body of the collier from under the rubble and shifted it to the District Headquarters Hospital.
After taking necessary legal action, the body of the coalminer will be handed over to its heirs.
It is reported that the coalminer belonged to Afghanistan.
