PML-N MPA Mian Tahir Jameel has revealed that during PTI government, an attempt was made to create a forward bloc in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz through National Accountability Bureau.
Talking to City41 TV channel, a sister organization 24NewsHD TV channel, MPA Jameel said that the entire PML-N leadership was illegally put behind the bars without any reason. He said that the previous government levelled false corruption charges against PML-N supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and he was convicted on wrong charges of Iqama and was thrown out (of politics).
After that Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz, Khaqan Abbasi, Khwaja Asif, Saad Rafique, PML-N president Punjab and dozens of other party leaders were implicated in false cases and were incarcerated.
MPA Jameel said that he himself remained the victim of NAB for three and a half years during the PTI tenure. He claimed that the NAB was not investigating corruption cases against them, rather the bureau wanted to create a forward bloc in the PML-N.
“The NAB sleuths were bent upon making a forward bloc in the PML-N and for this purpose they would make lucrative offers to them. Otherwise, the NAB would implicate them in false corruption cases. They asked the party leaders to give statement against Abid Sher Ali and as a reward they would make them ministers,” the MPA recalled.
He lamented this practice of the previous regime terming it a political engineering.
