Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presided over Economic Coordination Committee meeting to approve technical grant of Rs1.31 billion for Election Commission of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Ministry of Finance, Election Commission of Pakistan will spend this amount on by elections in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. The ECC also approved Rs16.99 billion for the arrears of Pakistan Post. According to Ministry of Finance, ECC also okay five summaries for the transformation of FBR. The amount will be spent on the reformation of Federal Board of Revenue.
The Ministry of Finance said ECC has given conditional approval of funds for anti-trafficking measures in FBR. The summary of performance management regime of FBR officers, movement of officers, summary of accommodation arrangements during transit were also approved by the ECC.
