Pakistan unveils 16-memeber squad for Blind T20 World Cup

Pakistan has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming Blind T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The fourth Blind Cricket T20 World Cup will begin on November 23 in Lahore, running through December 3.

Nisar Ali has been named as the team captain, with Badar Munir serving as his deputy.

The squad features a mix of players across three categories: B1 (completely blind), B2 (partially blind), and B3 (partially sighted), following the International Blind Cricket Association’s standards.

The B1 category players include Zafar Iqbal, Muhammad Idrees Saleem, Muhammad Shahzaib, and Fakhar Abbas, with Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Salman also representing the B1 category.

In the B2 category, the players are Babar Ali, Naimatullah, and Haroon Khan.

The B3 category includes Muhammad Safdar, Kamran Akhtar, Akmal Hayat Nasir, Talha Iqbal, and Mutiullah.

Additionally, Muhammad Ayaz, Moeen Aslam, and Muhammad Rashid have been named as reserve players.

The team's management consists of head coach Muhammad Jameel and assistant coach Masood Jan, along with assistant managers Malik Abrar Hussain and Naveed Hussain Abbasi. Tahir Mehmood Butt will oversee training.

The Pakistan team will kick off its campaign on November 23, with the opening match against South Africa.
