Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar said on Friday that the terrorists who were involved in Daska mosque attack had been arrested, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said those taken into custody were three shooters, their facilitator as those who did recce for them. “They were arrested from Lahore, Pakpattan and Kasur,” he disclosed.

He further said that the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) in collaboration with security agencies apprehended the suspects within 24 hours of the incident. “Now we are going to produce them along with proofs of their involvement in the court,” he said, and added that foreign agencies were supporting the people who were carrying out acts of terrorism on Pakistani soil. “The entire planning of the incident was done outside Pakistan. Proofs of the involvement of a foreign hand in the incident have been found from the crime scene. This is the handiwork of that notorious foreign agency which is involved in target killings of its opponents in other parts of the world as well,” the IGP alleged and expressed the resolve to expose terrorists as well as their facilitators.

Dr. Usman Anwar said he wanted to say to the world that Pakistan’s LEAs and security agencies had collected all proofs of a foreign country’s involvement in the act of terror.

Two people, including the imam, were martyred when gunmen opened fire at them inside a mosque at Daska in Sialkot on Wednesday during Fajr prayers.
