After a hike in petroleum products and electricity, the government has raised prices of re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) up to $0.40 per MMBTU for the month of September, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), RLNG rates for SNGPL customers rose by $0.35 per MMBtu, while Sui SSGC customers saw their prices rise by $0.40 per MMBTU. Now, the new price of RLNG for the month of September on Sui Northern's system has been fixed at $12.83 per MMBTU and $13.36 per MMBTU for Sui Southern's system.
Pertinently, the new rates comprise fees for LNG terminals, transmission losses, port costs, and the margins of the state-run importers Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL). These new weighted average sale prices were calculated based on eight cargoes imported by PSO and two cargoes imported by PLL.
