Pakistan reached the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy semi-finals Thursday after defeating China by 5-1, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Pakistan's Abdul Rahman was the first to strike a goal in the second quarter the mark after a goalless first quarter. Hanan Shahid produced an opening with a beautiful pass and Rahman converted it into a goal without any error.
In the third quarter, Pakistan maintained their dominance, with Nadeem Ahmed doubling the lead. In the fourth quarter, Hanan Shahid scored on a penalty corner increasing Pakistan’s lead to 3-0.
China responded with a goal by Cheng Hang on a penalty corner, bringing the score to 3-1. However, Pakistan sealed the victory by scoring two more goals in the final four minutes of the match, finishing with a 5-1 win.
