In a crackdown on hoarders, the Hafizabad district administration seized 21,000 bags of sugar worth Rs180 million and 2,800 bags of urea worth Rs14 million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the district administration tightened the noose around the hoarders.
A case was also registered against the accused. The district administration took the seized sugar and urea into possession.
“Crackdown on hoarding will continue,” Hafizabad Deputy Commissioner Umar Farooq Warraich pledged.
