The Pakistan People’s Party has decided to initiate action against two of its senior leaders for violating party’s policies and discipline, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday, quoting its sources.
The top PPP leadership was clearly not pleased with the way senior leaders – Aitzaz Ahsan and Latif Khosa – have acted recently by repeatedly violating the party’s policies.
According to sources, both the leaders while being members of the PPP have established vigorous contacts with rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, evidence of which the PPP top leadership now got hold of.
The sources claimed that both the leaders did not inform the PPP after their sons received tickets from the PTI to contest elections.
The PPP had immediately removed Latif Khosa from all the party posts including as president of legal wing, the sources said and added action will be taken against both the leaders for violating party’s discipline.
The sources further revealed that Aitzaz Ahsan’s son will get a PTI ticket to contest elections from Lahore while Latif Khosa demanded from the PTI a ticket for his son to contest polls from Dera Ghazi Khan.
Both the leaders had also been in contact with PTI Chairman Imran Khan on the judiciary issue, the sources added.
