Umpires have declared bowling action of Quetta Gladiators’ spinner Usman Tariq as ‘suspicious’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Usman Tariq currently is taking part in Pakistan Super League (PSL) X and representing Quetta Gladiators, mentored by Sir Viv Richards.
Sources said that the spinner may continue this bowling during the season but if his bowling action was declared ‘suspicious’ again then he may face a ban.
It is necessary to mention here that Usman Tariq’s bowling action was declared as ‘suspicious’ during PSL X match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators on Sunday.
Lahore Qalandars thrashed Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs in the 4th match of PSL-10 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
This win was marked by stellar performances in both the batting and bowling departments.
Chasing a daunting target of 220, Quetta crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for just 140 runs, thanks to a clinical bowling display by the Qalandars.
Quetta Gladiators' pursuit of the target began on a shaky note.
Opener Saud Shakeel was dismissed for just one run by Qalandars’ skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi with the team score at 2.
