Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday held a detailed meeting with Britain’s Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad Afzal Khan in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, both dignitaries discussed various issues being faced by Pakistani community in Britain.
They further discussed to expand cooperation in various other sectors between Pakistan and Britain. They also discussed recent rise in terrorist attacks and measures to root out the menace.
On the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi appreciated Afzal Khan for playing important role for strengthening and expanding cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
He further hoped that during the tenure of Labour Party, relations between Pakistan and UK will become stronger.
Mohsin Naqvi said that several countries are victims of terrorism and now time has come to take decisive action against terrorism globally.
Interior Minister said that he welcomed UK’s assistance for training personnel of Pakistan law-enforcement agencies in fight against terrorism.
He said that large number of Pakistanis are living in the United Kingdom and they are playing vital role to strengthen the economy.
UK MP Mohammad Afzal Khan said that whole world lauded sacrifices rendered by Pakistani people in fight against terrorism.
He vowed that he will continue playing positive role for strengthening friendly relations between Pakistan and United Kingdom.
