Two children of the same family were killed while two others were seriously wounded when a heavy pickup van rammed into a motorcycle on Allahabad-Deepalpur road in Chunian on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Two children, aged 12 and 10 years, died on the spot while their third sibling, aged 8, received injuries in his arm and leg.
The kids’ mother too was seriously injured in the incident and was in a critical condition till last reports came in.
Despite having been informed, Rescue 1122 personnel and the Highway Patrolling Police failed to reach the spot, forcing the area residents to shift the bodies as well as the injured to a hospital on their own.
