Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry Saturday confirmed that Pakistan was still in talks with the parties for peace in Afghanistan.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the information minister said the efforts were being made for reconciliation in the neighbouring Islamic country.

The information minister said an attempt was also being made for the Afghan parties to agree on a system.

He said if Imran Khan's proposal had been accepted, the situation in Afghanistan would have been different.

Fawad said the future of Pakistan was a free, stable and prosperous country.
