The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Lahore Sunday celebrated the Diamond Jubilee, the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan with the renewed resolve that the medical community will leave no stone unturned in the service of ailing humanity.
The event commenced with National Flag Hoisting Ceremony, as PMA Lahore President Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami unfurled the flag. Dr Tanveer Anwar, Prof Sahibzada Masoodul Sayed, Dr Azeem Uddin Zahid, Prof Dr Shahid Malik, Dr Izhar Ahmed Chaudhry, Prof Dr Ajmal Hasan Naqvi, Prof Dr Ali Rafiq Mirza, Dr Kamran Saeed, Prof Asma Yasin, Prof Khalid Mehmood Khan, Dr Iram Shahzai, Dr Wajid Ali, Dr Bushra Haq, Dr Talha Sherwani, Dr Nadar Khan, Dr Mohammad Sadiq, Dr Abdul Qudous Khokhar, Dr Salman Kazmi and a number of medical students were present on the occasion.
The participants paid homage to Quaid e Azam and other leaders of the Pakistan movement on the occasion.
They pledged that the doctor community will fulfil its responsibilities as always in the integrity, development, and prosperity of the motherland.
Later, a special ceremony was held in honour of PMA leaders Prof Dr Asma Yasin, Dr Izhar Ahmad Chaudhry, and Dr Kamran Saeed Sheikh, who achieved the blessing of Hajj.
