Dollar bulldozes Pakistani rupee more, rises to historic level of Rs181

The US dollar on Tuesday reached a new peak of Rs181 in the open market, reported 24News HD TV Channel.

According to the Exchange Currency Association Karachi, the dollar rose by 50 paise in the open market on Tuesday.

In the open market, the euro rose by 30 paise to Rs202 and the Saudi riyal rose by 10 paise to Rs47.65.

The rupee has been persistently losing its value lately making the dollar costlier day by day. In today’s (Tuesday) inter-bank trading it shed 11 more paisas and the rate of the dollar rose to Rs178.

Yesterday, the rate of dollar was Rs177.89 at the time of closing of inter-bank trading. In the open market yesterday, the US dollar reached a new peak of Rs180.50 and gained 60 paisas against the rupee.
