Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over a special meeting related to tourism department and reviewed arrangements for 19th Cholistan Desert Rally, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
In the meeting, the Punjab Chief Minister gave approval in principle of 7-day South Punjab Mela in Bahawalpur.
The CM reviewed setting up tent hotels in Cholistan and instructed Tourism Department to buy tents for the purpose.
Muhsin Naqvi ordered best traffic measures during Cholistan desert rally.
In the meeting, Provincial Secretary Tourism Raja Jahangir Anwar gave a detailed briefing.
Raja Jahangir Anwar briefed that the tourism potential will be enhanced through the "Pretty Punjab" branding.
He said millions of people are expected to participate in Punjab's biggest desert jeep rally and multinational companies will be invited to become official partners in the Jeep Rally.
Provincial Minister Aamir Mir, Secretary P&D, MDT TDCP, GM Operations TDCP and other officials participated the meeting.
