After roping in Pakistan’s pace sensation Naseem Shah, Islamabad United also roped in his younger brothers Hunain Shah and Ubaid in the Emerging category for the Pakistan Super League’s Season 9.
It means we can see all three brothers in action in this year’s PSL.
Born on February 4, Hunain is a right arm medium fast bowler who had played for Central Punjab.
He was selected for the development programme of the Lahore Qalandars in 2020.
Hunain played for the Central Punjab Whites U19 side in 2021 and made his senior T20 debut for Central Punjab in September 2022 taking 2-28 in his 4 overs against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the National T20 Cup at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
In November 2020 he made his first-class debut for Central Punjab in the 2022–23 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

On 18 November, 2022 he took his maiden first-class wicket dismissing Bilawal Iqbal of the Balochistan cricket team.
He played eight first class matches so for taking 17 wickets at an average of 40.11 with 4-61 as best bowling figures in an innings.
In eight List A matches, he picked 12 wickets at an average of 23.91 with best figures of 6-26.
In 14 T20s, Hunain has taken 17 wickets with an average of 21.88 with best figures of 3/20.
Medium pacer Ubaid Shah has the ability to generate prodigious swing and is exciting to watch. He has been among the wickets in the ongoing Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup.
With a smooth and rhythmic bowling action, he is remarkably accurate with his lines and lengths.
