Japanese envoy, Mahmood Khan discuss KPK’s development
JICA to help improve, restore 700-km-long roads in province

KPK Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday said that road and other infrastructure will be improved with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), especially A in the newly-integrated tribal districts. As many as 700-km-long roads will be repaired and restored in the province with the cooperation of JICA.
KPK Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was talked with Japanese Ambassador Mr. Kuninori Matsuda in KP House Islamabad. They discussed matters of mutual interest and ongoing development projects in the province.
The chief minister expressed the KPK government’s gratitude to the Japanese government for the JICA cooperation in the development of the province.
Mahmood Khan pointed out that a big and safe road infrastructure would act as a catalyst for increase tourism and business activities in the KPK province. On the occasion, the KPK government and JICA agreed on improving road infrastructure, especial in rural areas. A comprehensive draft for road maintenance has been sent to the Japanese Embassy by the KP Planning Commission.
The Japanese ambassador expresses satisfaction over better security in Pakistan. He also praised the KPK government’s initiatives taken for promoting tourism and trade activities in the province.
