PMLN President and National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif has slammed Prime Minister Imran Khan's statement wherein he charged JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman of treason and called for trying him under Article 6 of the Constitution.
Shehbaz in a statement strongly condemned the PM’s statement saying that “Imran Niazi must look in the mirror before passing such outrageous judgements”.
The opposition leader said the problem with “accidental and self-proclaimed leaders” is that they are oblivious to history and its lessons.
He said Fazlur Rehman is the son of a person who was among those who drafted Pakistan's constitution.
The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz said that such statements by Imran, especially during President Tayyip Erdogan's visit, are “highly condemnable, disappointing and extremely irresponsible”.
