Abductors demand 10 Boski suits in ransom

The ransom in any abduction or kidnapping case always runs into millions or tens of millions of rupees if not more but here in such a case the abductors not only demanded a huge chunk of money but also 10 suits of Boski cloth, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Boski cloth is a spun silk, where the cocoon is slit open, the filament is removed in one mass to form a flux. This flux is thoroughly cleaned and processed to make silky threads that are woven together. Boski is one of the lightest forms of silk and ideal for hot, humid climate and is very famous with the male population of South Asia especially Pakistan.

The police in Shikarpur District of Sindh arrested two men accused of abducting two men, uncle and nephew, and demanded Rs4 million ransom and 10 unstitched suits Boski.

The Shikarpur police during their raid recovered the uncle-nephew duo and arrested the two accused – Ashiq and Asif. The abductees, Akhtar Chandio and Faisal, were residents of Ayub Chandio an area in Shikarpur Dhakkan Police Station’s limits.
