Jemima Khan, the ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has admitted Tyrian, 30, is the daughter of the former prime minister.

The Daily Mail brought Jemima’s revelations to the spotlight a couple of days ago as it broke a story of her reaction to a call sounding an assassination attempt alert.

“Jemima’s first thought was for their two sons, Suleiman, 26, and Kasim, 23, and for Imran’s daughter, Tyrian, 30 – by his late girlfriend, Sita White – who lives with her when she is not in Los Angeles,” states the UK paper.

The story has sparked debate on the fate of Imran Khan if the PTI chief is going to be disqualified for concealing his daughter.

Last year, Sajid Mahmood moved the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking Imran Khan’s disqualification for concealing his daughter in nomination papers and affidavits he filed for the general elections in 2018.

The petition, titled “Imran versus Imran –  the untold story”, flashbacked the circumstances in which the custody of Tyrian was given to Jemima. Ana-Lusia White, in her will of Feb 27, 2004, had nominated Jemima Khan as guardian of her daughter Tyrian Jade Khan-White. Sita White died that year on May 13.

“Jemima Goldsmith had been the spouse of Imran Khan (1995-2004).

“The concealed facts stood confirmed by a judgement of paternity rendered by a superior court in California in favour of Sita White where it was held that the respondent (Imran Khan) was the father of Tyrian Jade.”

Imran Khan has been stressing the petition ‘not maintainable’.

Last week, the Islamabad High Court stressed arguments on the admissibility of the petition seeking Imran Khan’s disqualification for concealing his daughter Tyrian in his nomination forms submitted for the 2018 general election were very important. The court will resume the hearing on March 1.
