A meeting of the Apex Committee was held in Islamabad on Friday in which the civil and military leadership was apprised of the latest situation in neighbouring Afghanistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Apex Committee meeting was attended among others by Army Chief of Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, ISI Director General and senior ministers.

The meeting was also briefed about border management.

Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that Army Chief General Bajwa and ISI director general were also called on Prime Minister Imran Khan separately.

The one-on-one meeting discussed the security situation and other issues.
