Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has invited four political parties to join its 24 Jan farmers march—Tractor March — against the shortage of fertilizer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The PPP has invited Awami National Party (ANP), Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The PPP has asked parties to assure their political workers participation in the farmers' march.
A day earlier, Pakistan People’s Party MNA Syed Naveed Qamar announced the party will hold a tractor march on January 24 amid the impending fertilizer crisis.
Talking to journalists in Lahore, Qamar said there has been a severe shortage of urea fertilizer across the country.
Qamar lashed out at the Punjab government and claimed that the Buzdar government has been giving a bag of fertilizer on an identity card.
PPP-Parliamentarian’s Spokesperson Shazia Marri said farmers have been protesting on the streets and the incompetent government is not ready to listen to farmers.
