Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) chief Fazlur Rehman has said he is grateful to Taliban supreme lead Mullah Haibatullah for his all-out support, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
“The main objective of my visit to Afghanistan was to solve the problems through mutual understanding, Alhamdulillah, the objectives of the visit have been achieved,” Fazlur Rehman said.
He added: “The meeting with Mullah Haibatullah was very positive “I strongly reject the impression that the two countries are against each other.
“This is the purpose of our visit that both countries have harmony.
Fazl foresaw his visit bearing fruit. “This is our first trip to Afghanistan after the establishment of the Islamic Emirate. After establishing the Islamic Emirate, there was some tension between the two countries. Now the two countries will sit together and solve all the problems.”
He stressed: “The main need of both countries is trade. Pakistan and Afghanistan are bound together. Some countries want to create distance between Pakistan and Afghanistan. During this historic visit, I have met all the officials of the Islamic Emirate."
He added: "I visited Afghanistan with a message of love on behalf of the Pakistani nation. We have to iron out differences grudges and move forward. After my visit, a new era of travel between the two countries will begin. We declared the Afghan refugees in Pakistan as guests of the Pakistani nation. Afghan refugees are our guests and we will value and respect them.
Fazl continued: "I am not the government. I am the head of a party and we have done our best to deal with the refugees. "The issue of TTP is of utmost importance. Both countries are very serious about this issue. I wish that all Islamic countries and other countries support the Islamic Emirate at the diplomatic level We will never interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan."
