The appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ijaz Chaudhry against the decision of the returning officer to reject his nomination papers from NA-127 Lahore has been rejected.
A three-judge election tribunal of the Lahore High Court headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi on Sunday heard the petition filed against the decision of the RO to reject the nomination papers of Ijaz Chaudhry.
The tribunal upheld the decision of the returning officer and dismissed the appeal of Ijaz Chaudhry.
It should be remembered that on Saturday, the election tribunal of the Lahore High Court also rejected Monis Elahi's appeal against the rejection of his nomination papers.
The tribunal will also hear petitions against the rejection of the nomination papers of PTI founder Imran Khan and former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry's wife Hiba and other PTI leaders today.
