Born on July 26, 1979, in Karsiyaka, Izmir, Engin Altan Duzyatan graduated from Dokuz Eylul University’s Theatre Department in 1996. He began his acting career with roles in various television series and films.
Duzyatan gained international fame for his portrayal of Ertugrul Gazi in the historical drama “Dirilis Ertugrul”, which aired from 2014 to 2019. The series, spanning 150 episodes, brought him widespread recognition. His performance in “A Handful of Sea” (Bir Avuc Deniz) also earned him the “Best Actor Award” at the Los Angeles Movie Awards in 2012.
His recent work includes roles in “Barbaros: Sword of the Mediterranean” (Barbaroslar: Akdeniz’in Kilici) and “The Stickman” (Cop Adam). In his personal life, Duzyatan married Neslisah Alkoclar in 2014, and the couple has two children, Emir Aras and Alara.
