PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Tuesday that former prime minister and the party founder Imran Khan had stated categorically that there would be no ‘deal’ with those at the helm of affairs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad, he said that the PTI, in its negotiations with the government, would press it for the acceptance of its two demands: the release of all its prisoners, including Imran, and the constitution of a commission on May 9 and May 26.

He said that talks were necessary for bringing down the political temperature in the country.

He expressed the optimism that talks would bear fruits and differences between the government and the party would be resolved.

“We stick to our demand for the return of the mandate people had given to us in the February 8 general elections. We want our mandate back within four months.”

Barrister Gohar dispelled the impression that the PTI founder would take revenge on his opponents once he came out of jail. “He will work for the independence of the judiciary and rights of the people,” he elaborated.
