Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting focused on the Prime Minister Youth Program, highlighting the importance of the Uraan Pakistan project in creating new employment opportunities across the country.
The Prime Minister stressed that equipping the youth with professional skills is crucial for increasing employment prospects. He directed the Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Program to enhance technical and professional competencies among the youth.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government's commitment to reducing unemployment by promoting the private sector and underlined the vital role of the IT sector in Pakistan's future. He instructed the development of action plans tailored to the job market demands of friendly countries to facilitate overseas employment for Pakistani youth.
The Prime Minister also called for strict action against fake and unlicensed companies offering overseas employment services. During the meeting, it was revealed that a new platform, the Prime Minister Digital Youth Hub, will soon be launched to provide job-related information and services to the youth. The Prime Minister directed that this platform be made accessible in all local languages alongside English to ensure ease of use.
Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and senior officials from relevant institutions attended the meeting.
