Opposition leader in the Senate, Shibli Faraz, has criticized the non-implementation of ongoing production orders by the Chairman of the Senate, calling it an insult to Parliament, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Tuesday.
He said Ejaz Chaudhry is a member of the Senate, expressed his frustration over the repeated attempts to enforce production orders over the past year and a half that ended in failure.
Faraz stated that the Punjab government failed to take these orders seriously, accusing it of undermining the privilege of the House and setting a record in fascism.
He emphasized that the issue is not about sympathy but about action, highlighting that the Chairman of the Senate represents the entire House, not just the opposition. He warned that if the production orders continue to be ignored, the matter will be referred to the Privileges Committee.
