Sindh CM writes letter to PM for Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway construction

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has written a letter to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif requesting him to issue directive to National Highway Authority (NHA) to start work on Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In his letter on Tuesday, the Chief Minister wrote that M-6 is an important motorway connecting the country; however M-6 project is missing from the motorway schemes. 

The Chief Minister further said in his letter that the NHA has spared percent schemes for Sindh. 

National Highways schemes should be reviewed again, text of letter said.

The Chief Minister has also included details of the funds released in his letter. 

Text of the letter said Rs78.43 billion were allocated for six schemes of Sindh while only Rs7 billion was released for them. 

Syed Murad Ali Shah demanded that funds should be released for Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway without delay and priority should be given to the construction of highways in Sindh. 

Earlier, the Sindh Chief Minister had also written a letter for Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway in March last year.
