Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said the government will permit the marriage halls reopening in the first week of September if the Covid-10 situation betters.
The minister was talking to a delegation of Punjab Marriage Halls Association Tuesday a day after the association reps and workers of restaurants and chicken supplier gave two days to the government to address their concerns over coronavirus closure.
The pandemic affected every business however the situation is getting better in the country, the minister said and vowed to take up the matter in the cabinet committee and NCOC meeting.
He shared with the delegation his party chief Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of balancing the livelihood and life during the ongoing war on coronavirus.
He listed his government’s feats during the meeting and pledged to save livelihoods of the staff associated with marriage hall industry.
He assured them that the government would open closed businesses as soon as the coronavirus situation improves and hinted at tax relief.
Delegation head Punjab Marriage Halls Association President Mian Muhammad Ilyas thanked the minister for paying attention to their problems and assured the minister of following the SOPs to stem the spread of the deadly virus.
The delegates include Senior Vice President Malik Aqeel Sarwar and General Secretary Rao Tariq Islam.
