Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Ahsan Iqbal and party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday filed an application in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for initiating a corruption reference against Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While talking to the media persons outside NAB headquarters in Islamabad, the PML-N leaders gave details of the application. Former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal said that he hoped that the NAB chairman would see the case and not the face.
Ahsan Iqbal said he has submitted the reference and asked the NAB chairman to make a case on how various projects have been ruined under Imran Khan.
He alleged that history’s biggest corruption was committed in BRT Peshawar project.
Talking about his case before NAB, Ahsan Iqbal said that anti-graft watchdog committed baseless character assassination of him. “There is no charge of corruption on me and only charge of misuse of power. Narowal Sports Complex City has been made controversial and ruined. Najam Sethi promised us to organize PSL match in 2020 in Narowal Sports City but the Niazi government has stopped the funds and work on the project.”
