Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Murtaza Javed Abbasi, while reacting to the use of inappropriate words about two former prime ministers by two Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) ministers during electioneering in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday, on Wednesday warned those calling PML-N leadership ‘corrupt’, saying whosoever would call party leadership ‘corrupt’ would get the same response, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking in the National Assembly (NA), he asked the government to ensure opening of the Karakoram Highway in Abbottabad which lied closed due to rains.

Syed Naveed Qamar, MNA belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), said none could deny the services rendered by personalities like Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB). “By maligning leaders like (ZAB), you are insulting Pakistan and its history,” he commented.

Raja Riaz, a PTI MNA, also joined in the opposition protest, and condemned labelling of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) as a ‘traitor’ by the ruling party minister. “I ask the federal minister to say whatever he likes about those living but please spared the martyred,” he added.

Later, PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNAs walked out of the assembly in protest against the ‘controversial’ comments made by two federal ministers in AJK.

However, the MNAs belonging to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Jamaat-e-Islami remained seated.

Later, the speaker adjourned the NA session till 10: 30 Friday morning (July 16) due to incomplete quorum.
