Corona patient dies days after celebrating birthday on hospital bed

Three deaths from coronavirus were registered on Sunday morning in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one of the victims was the 71-year-old Asad Naveed Khan who celebrated his 71st birthday on the hospital bed just a few days ago.
The man’s video cutting his birthday cake on the bed in Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar last Monday (June 8) went viral on social media in no time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The video went viral on different social media platforms and people praised the initiative by the hospital’s doctors. For the last few days, he has been on a ventilator and died on Sunday morning.
According to relatives of Asad Naveed, he breathed his last during early hours of Sunday and was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard at 2:00 pm in accordance with COVID-19 SOPs.
Asad Naveed was a dweller of Peshawar city and was famous for his attractive looks and long moustaches. He was a businessman but also took part in politics in his young age and elected as a councillor from Kochi Bazaar and Mohalla Marvihah area in interior city.
Focal Person in Nowshera Dr Zahid said the other two persons died on Sunday were Arshad Shakeel, a resident of Shedo area of Nowshera, who breathed his last at a private hospital in Islamabad and Kashif Khan Qazi, a young laboratory assistant in Qazi Medical Complex, who was a resident of Khat Killi in Nowshera, also lost his battle with coronavirus.
