German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck along with Sindh government spokesperson on Tuesday inaugurated Pakistan’s first ultra-rapid Electric Vehicle (EV) station in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck said, “Electric vehicles are the future.”
He said he was extremely happy that Germany was able to share ultra-rapid charging technology with Pakistan. “A small but vital step towards making transportation safer for the environment! #PakGermanDosti Zindabad,” writes the Germany envoy in a tweet.

He said that this step will help Pakistan to curb climate change. “Promoting technology through Public Private Partnership is a good initiative,” Bernhard added.
Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said he was going to launch two solar parks inspired by this technology in KMC.
He said, “Grateful to the intervention by LIBRA and Siemens Pakistan. Electric vehicles which are cost effective and environment friendly are now being registered in Sindh.”
LIBRA CEO Abdul Haseeb Khan said that cars will now recharge within 15 to 20 minutes with this technology.
