The Punjab government has allocated a substantial budget for the Lahore District Development Program for the fiscal year 2024.
Over 5.38 billion rupees have been earmarked, with 2.2678 billion rupees specifically allocated for various developmental projects in the new financial year.
The allocated funds will be used for a wide range of infrastructure improvements, including drainage systems, street lighting, the installation of tough tiles, and road construction in multiple union councils across Lahore.
Key areas included in the development program are:
Nishtar Colony, Panchu, Anam Road, Azhar Town, Mubarak Town, and Yohanabad
Hudiara, Sofiaabad, BRB, Natha Singh Pind, and Lail Pind
Mayo Colony, Muhammad Ali Chowk, Gulshan Ahbab, Dhaluki, and Bengali
Various streets in Wagah, Minhala, Dogran Kalan, and Jalo
This substantial investment aims to enhance the living standards and infrastructure in these regions, providing better amenities and improved urban planning for the residents of Lahore.
