Keeping its tradition of appeasing journalists alive, the PML-N government in Punjab has once again come up with a programme for their betterment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
There is again good news for the journalists of Punjab as the provincial budget for the next financial year (2024-25) to be presented today also includes an insurance scheme for them.
And more encouraging development is that the provincial cabinet has also green-lighted the scheme.
As many as Rs1 billion have been earmarked for journalists in the budget on Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s instructions.
