The finale of ISPR and Momina Duraid’s joint production Ehd-e-Wafa which was scheduled to air on 15th March in cinema houses across Pakistan has been postponed due to coronavirus fears.
HUM network announced the news on their Facebook page and wrote: “Hum Network being one of the leading media companies has always taken its social responsibility seriously. In line with the above, keeping in view the WHO guidelines on COVID pandemic, it has been decided to cancel the grand finale of Ehd-e-Wafa from cinemas.”
Ever since the airing of its first episode in September last year, the play has garnered great fan following and has taken social media by storm with its engaging script and a brilliant display of acting by the lead cast.
Written by Mustafa Afridi and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions, Ehd-e-Wafa is an epic tale of four friends separated by an unfortunate incident.
The story revolves around college friends Shariq, Shahzain, Shehryar and Saad and depicts the true value of the time-tested bond of friendship.
After the incident, they all move on with their lives, pursuing their dreams but are reunited by the love of the country and what follows is their journey of hardships, hustle and a will to sacrifice anything for their country.
Directed by Muhammad Saife Hasan, the play boasts a stellar cast including Ahad Raza Mir, Ahmed Ali, Vaneeza Ahmed, Osman Khalid Butt, Zara Noor Abbas, Alizay Shah, Wahaj Ali, HajraYamin and others.
