An accountability court on Monday adjourned the hearing of a NAB reference against Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique till March 30, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Khawaja Brothers appeared before the court and marked their attendance.

Two NAB witnesses including Dr Fareeha recorded their statements in court.

Accountability Court No. 2 Judge Naseem Ahmed Virk heard the case.

It is to be noted here that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a reference against the Khawaja Brothers over corruption in the Paragon Housing Society project.

Both brothers, along with Nadeem Zia, had been accused of selling 800-Marla land worth Rs4 billion in the Paragon Housing Society.

The NAB reference also stated that the housing society was first built by the Khawaja Brothers as Air Avenue, and its name was later changed to Paragon Housing Society.

“The Khawaja Brothers regularly receive money from sale of land in the Paragon Housing Society,” the reference added.

Former MPA Qaiser Amin Butt admitted that the Khawaja brothers received millions of rupees in commissions and other benefits.

“Khawaja Saad Rafique used to come to every meeting and issue allotment letters to the people,” said the NAB reference.
