Dr Amir Ahmed Sheikh has been appointed as new Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In this regard, the Establishment Division in Islamabad issued a notification on Saturday.  

Dr Sheikh will replace Sohail Habib Tajik, who had taken charge as the AJK IGP in June 2021.
