The postmortem report of late senior journalist Arshad Sharif was handed over to his family, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.
According to the details, a close dear one from Arshad’s family received the reports.
The autopsy report stated that 12 wounds were found on Arshad’s corpse. A black wound mark around the left eye, a wound on the left side of the neck, wounds surrounded by black marks on the upper back of the corpse were also found in the post-mortem.
It was stated in the reports that four nails from the right hand of Arshad’s corpse were missing whereas there were signs of abrasions on his right wrist.
It was also found that a bone from the right side of Arshad’s skull was also missing and the right side of his brain was affected.
After the corpse arrived Pakistan family members visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences PIMS to get the autopsy reports, they were told that the autopsy reports were handed over to the police. Upon asking, the police denied having the reports and redirected the family to PIMS.
Arshad Sharif’s mother then pleaded in High Court to issue a directive for the authorities being secretary of Interior Ministry and PIMS to release the autopsy report.
