The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) has released a written order following the November 1 hearing regarding the Faizabad sit-in revision case, reported the 24NewsHD TV Channel.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) presented the scrutiny committee’s report on Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) in the apex court, revealing critical revelations.

The report highlighted substantial deficiencies, inconsistencies, and omissions within the documentation provided by TLP.

Notably, TLP was requested to furnish details about its bank accounts, but it failed to disclose crucial funding sources amounting to Rs. 15,86,324.

The Election Commission's assertion that TLP hadn't engaged in fund irregularities was met with scepticism, particularly concerning the undisclosed funding.

The Commission's lawyer advocated for granting TLP another opportunity to rectify these discrepancies.

The court ultimately dismissed the application pertaining to TLP's accounts, while the Attorney General pledged the formation of a commission to delve into the motives behind the Faizabad sit-in.

Moreover, serious allegations were made by senior journalist Absar Alam against officers of that time, urging the federal government to institute a commission and provide a notification.

The attorney general declared the federal government's acceptance of the Faizabad decision.

The case is slated for further proceedings on November 15.
